ABOUT CATALINA
Catalina epitomizes the fusion of aeronautical and diver's watch, striking the ideal balance. Crafted for seamless performance on land and sea, mirroring the versatility of the Catalina TP 47 seaplane.
The Catalina Swiss Automatic 43 is crafted in a limited edition of 300 watches, divided equally into two distinct color variations. Drawing inspiration from classic aviation and diving timepieces, its case design boasts sharp lines and contrasting finishes on the lugs and crown guards. Crafted from solid bronze (CuSn8), the rotating bezel features polished numerals and recessed indices, reminiscent of traditional diving watches. Designed to rotate counterclockwise in precise 120 steps, the bezel offers a secure grip surface for ease of use.
With a diameter of 43mm, the case ensures effortless readability and versatility. The gracefully curved lugs conform comfortably to the wrist, ensuring a pleasant fit even on narrower wrists. The inaugural MALM Catalina watch was first introduced back in 2019, inspired by the Consolidated PBY Catalina seaplane, affectionately known as TP47 within the Swedish Air Force. The popular collection pays homage to this historic aircraft, tragically shot down by Soviet aircraft on June 16, 1952, during the Cold War era.

All Catalina watches are assembled in a controlled environment in MALM's own watchmaking studio in Linköping. The movements are regulted in different positions to ensure accurate timekeeping. The cases are pressure-tested before and after final assembly.
